The more cakes I crafted, the more time I found myself spending in the kitchen, building up my supplies and refining my skills. Balancing baking with the daily activities of raising my kids, I dedicated late nights to my favourite part – the intricate and delightful art of decorating. In 2017, I decided to formalise this newfound passion into a legitimate business. Within a week, I had delved into thorough research and officially established Flour & Frost. A crash course in Instagram later, and the business was gaining significant traction.

I’m thrilled to announce that what initially began as a hobby has now evolved into a thriving full-time, home-based business. As of 2023, Flour and Frost had exceeded the capacity of our family home kitchen, leading us to construct a dedicated kitchen space for hosting our acclaimed cake workshops and events.

In 2023, we proudly celebrated our inaugural win for “Most Outstanding Bakery/Cake Business” at the Local Business Awards, following three consecutive years as finalists. Witnessing the joy on people’s faces when they collect their orders fuels my happiness and determination to continually improve.
